Pennies for Patients
Franklin High School’s National Honor Society just finished up another year of the Pennies for Patients drive that helps raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. LLS is a voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. Their mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Every year, Franklin students (Pre-K through 12) work hard to raise as much money for this great cause as possible. It shows how selfless and caring our students are.
Here are the results of our 2014 campaign:
1. As a school district, we raised $825.97.
2. Our top class was the 8th grade class. They raised $212.64. Their homeroom teacher and motivator is Mrs. Davenport.
3. The 2nd place fundraiser was 2nd grade with $94.97. Their teacher and motivator is Mrs. Kiifner.
